St. Louis CompuTronics and The Sound Room Teamed Up on October 31st for an Amplifier Extravaganza Clinic. We invited customers to bring
in their amplifiers and receivers for a power-spec/Total Harmonic Distortion/Amplifier analysis. We had an excellent turnout and are
looking forward to the next big event. Please tell your friends about this event in order to make the
next clinic an even bigger success! Many of our customers attended the clinic, to include members of the St. Louis Gateway Audio Society. During the clinic, customers brought in everything from transistor-based amplifiers to some of the finest tube amplifiers that we have ever seen. Kudos go out to Al Naumann for bringing in the most powerful tube amplifier, which also exhibited the lowest distortion of the day in our tube amp category. Tim Simpson of The Sound Room received high marks for his ElectroCompaniet transistor-based amplifier, which scored highest in power and lowest distortion in our transistor category. Special mention goes out to Scott Faller for the best custom-built tube amplifier of the day. Special Thanks go out to Ken Seeger of Fantastic Plastic Surgery for taking the pictures of our event. Thanks, Ken! In the pictures below, you will see some of the most unique and interesting amplfiers that were tested at the clinic, as well as some pictures that show waveform analysis from our power/distortion analyzer. If you have any questions about these pictures, or about our next up-and-coming clinic, please send us an email with your question. We will respond promptly! We would like to send out a big thanks to our participants who made this year's clinic a success! |
